Staff
Through the staff team the LSP collaborates with local clubs, schools, development officers and physical activity tutors to deliver participation opportunities. The LSP is currently staffed by six staff members.
The Local Sports Partnership Coordinator is employed by Carlow County Council and reports to the Steering Committee of the LSP. Each LSP decides the priorities to be assigned to the Coordinator’s work, but in general their role will be the coordination of the planning process for the LSP, and the overseeing of the agreed plan. The Coordinator also acts as secretary to the LSP, facilitates meetings of the LSP Steering Committee, and liaise closely with the Sport Ireland to act as a conduit for information between national and local developments. The Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the local sports strategy, encompassing elements such as education programmes and local participation initiatives.
Programme Tutors & Facilitators
County Carlow Local Sports Partnership collaborates with a number of highly skilled and experienced local sports leaders to deliver participation programmes. Sports leaders are recruited through a panel sub-committee of Carlow Local Sports Partnership. All tutors and leaders are Garda Vetted.
